I lie and listen as the waves whisper their magical  spells,
Begging to remember, fearing  forgetfulness,
Where have you gone, when will you  return.
Ever?
Behind me a field of dreams, fields in  destruction,
They lay awake, awaiting seed, awaiting life,  
Awaiting you.
The sea it beckons, it thrives with  life,
Dark and cold and deep, but empty without  you.
Devoid of hope, life living and thriving,  
But without love it is life alone.  
You loveless bitter cold  sea.
Call me evermore, but without  love,
even death in your arms would be  meaningless.
