I lie and listen as the waves whisper their magical spells,
Begging to remember, fearing forgetfulness,
Where have you gone, when will you return.
Ever?
Behind me a field of dreams, fields in destruction,
They lay awake, awaiting seed, awaiting life,
Awaiting you.
The sea it beckons, it thrives with life,
Dark and cold and deep, but empty without you.
Devoid of hope, life living and thriving,
But without love it is life alone.
You loveless bitter cold sea.
Call me evermore, but without love,
even death in your arms would be meaningless.
